Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Hotel Ryder I Den Bosch - Vught, I was delighted to discover a charming boutique hotel nestled within the scenic Fort Isabella complex. Our spacious suite featured stunning high-beamed ceilings and a view overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens, providing a tranquil atmosphere that perfectly complemented my passion for history. While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, the option to indulge in tasty snacks like bitterballen or tempura prawns was a lovely surprise, especially after a long day of exploring. A mere two-minute stroll took us to Bij Isabella, where we savored well-prepared, simple fare that truly hit the spot. A visit to Camp Vught, a poignant reconstruction of the former concentration camp, is an absolute must; it serves as a moving reminder of history intertwined with our travels. After a day of exploration, returning to the hotel was like stepping into a serene retreat with the comfort of an amazing shower and luxurious bedding. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Ryder to anyone seeking a blend of comfort, history, and warm hospitality. I can't wait to return with my family and delve deeper into the beauty and history of this remarkable area!
